Stability limit of generator

Stability limit of generator

Stability limit of generator

(OP)
Hi, I found the quotation how to draw stability curve of generator, for central point it is: V^2/2(1/xe – 1/xd) and radius : V^2/2(1/xe + 1/xd). I tried to find from where it comes my result is slightly different from above quotations. I can not find mistake. I tried to find any information in the internet but I can only find above mentioned quotations. If somebody knows how to receive above result or where I can find it please let me know.
Thank you for help
Regards
Pawel

RE: Stability limit of generator

First of all, those equations don't look quite right for drawing stability curves. At best, what you have is a couple of rule of thumb equations and, without knowing their context, I can't comment on them further.

For a single generator, the real and reactive power curves aren't difficult to derive, but for a generator feeding into a grid, the stability solution is quite complex. I don't think a simple on-line resource is going to give you the answer you want. You'd be better off starting with a textbook on the subject of power systems analysis.
