EXPORT 1 TO 1 TIF IMAGE

Is it possible to export a 1 to 1 tiff image using the high quality image tool?  I can get a tiff image, but if I try to align it with a CGM the scales are different.

To this same question, there is an option in solidworks to have a shaded view in the drawing, is this possible in NX3?  This might solve my 1:1 scaling issue if it is possible

RE: EXPORT 1 TO 1 TIF IMAGE

The size and scale of a Tiff image is based on the scale of the display.  Whereas with CGM's, while it would appear to also be based on the size and scale of the screen, I think will find that it's not, but is merely using the display to define WHAT is included in the CGM.  The CGM itself will always capture the displayed objects at full (model) size irrespective of the display size or scale.

RE: EXPORT 1 TO 1 TIF IMAGE

As for adding a true shaded view to a drawing, that's supported starting with NX 5.  Prior to that, including NX 3, you could add an image file to the face of a drawing, but it was not a true shaded view, but rather just like pasting a Polaroid to your drawing sheet, if the model changed, the the image didn't unless you took another 'snapshot' and then replaced the one that was there.  And of course, unless you can manage to get 1:1 images from NX, pasting that image to the drawing was not going to help a lot.  My advice, move up to NX 5 or NX 6 ASAP.

Thanks, John.  As always you are a great help.  We are currently explporing the upgrade to NX5 and will hopefully be moving in a few weeks.  Thanks again!
