Power Fluctuation

Power Fluctuation

Power Fluctuation

(OP)
Our system is fed by a 12 pulse transformer and is supposed to run at 500KW.  The KW reading is measured at secondary side of the transformer. The customer complained about the KW fluctuation on this system.  The ripple observed was about +/-20KW. Our load seems to be fairly stable during the operation.  My questions are:  1. is 20KW fluctuation generally acceptable when system is running at 500KW level?  2. Could this KW fluctuation caused by the incoming power quality at primary side of transformer?

Any suggestions, comments are highly appreciated.

The load is AF drive type of device. the purpose of 12 pulse transformer is to decrease line current harmonics.
