I am currently using ANSYS Workbench to perform a Static Structural Analysis on a complex 3d model. I uploaded an assembly from Pro/E for the geometry of this simulation. I have read previous posts about this problem and have had no luck. I set my forces, supports, and pressures, and when I solve, I get displacements such as the one I have in the attachment. I also get that error in the subject as well as
"Warning: Solver pivot warnings have been encountered during the solution. This is usually a result of an ill conditioned matrix possibly due to unreasonable material properties, an under constrained model, or contact related issues. Check results carefully."
I was wondering if anybody had any possible work-arounds for this problem.

You may want to try a lower contact stiffness to see if you can get it to converge with that if everything is initially in contact. Generally, these problems are tough to diagnose remotely.

Also, try describing the type of static structural analysis your trying to solve. Maybe your applying conflicting loads/constraints.

1)i would try checking the solution information under solution,normally it will give you more information on the error.
2)Try adjusting the default value of the tolerance slider under connections.
