Water Chiller Brands /Manufacturers ?

Water Chiller Brands /Manufacturers ?

Water Chiller Brands /Manufacturers ?

(OP)
I dont know if this is against forum rules, but I need a recommendation on water chiller suppliers.

There are so many of them out there, and I cannot figure out who makes the "best"

My requirements:

3-4 ton
240V / 3 phase
BOTH 50 and 60Hz operation
Air cooled
Anti-freeze compatible

Application:

Chiller for cooling a cryogenic pulse-tube cooler compressor. The unit will be located at high altitude (5000 m) in support of a microwave telescope.

Thanks for any advice,
Huan Tran

RE: Water Chiller Brands /Manufacturers ?

On a chiller that small for a specialized application, I have had good luck with the Technical Systems chiller from RAE Corp (https://www.rae-corp.com/TechnicalSystems/Products/Chillers/AirCooled/Series30A0/tabid/96/Default.aspx).

You might also want to see if you can work with someone at Carrier, Trane, or McQuay to use one of their smaller chillers (i.e. Carrier 30RA).  Most technicians are familiar with these and it might keep your maintenance cost down.
