View Move Problem

(OP)
I am using I-Deas, version 13 NX5. I have created views
using drafting tool. When I attempt to move the views the
pick from the mouse moves the origin too far away from the
view. Therefore I cannot move the view very far. How can
I set the mouse pick point for this?
Thanks,

RE: View Move Problem

Open your Masterdrafting.ini or masterdrafting.mm Do a search for the following

prompt_for_start_in_move_view=

Make sure you are not I-Deas when you do this

Set it to true

Then start up I-Deas then try to move your view.

thanks for the reply SDETERS,
but where would I find the .mm file?
Or, If I cannot find the file, can I create it?
Thanks again..

RE: View Move Problem

The masterdrafting.mm or masterdrfint.in file is in your usr directory  If not you will have to ask your admin it guy where the location of the file is at.

The .mm or .in file is depending on if you dimension in metric or inches.

RE: View Move Problem

You can open edit this file with notepad
