Design of Double Cone Gaskets (High Pressure Vessel) - Ex. NH3 Convert

(OP)
Does anyone can give me the Titles of Technial Papers where it is explained in detail how to design this kind of gasket?

Interne WWW Address are more better (I suppose that only very old pubblications adress this kind of design andthis lead to difficulties to get such books/brochures).

I know that it is a SELF ENERGIZING Gasket so it is "not necessary" to use bolt pre-tensioning to "engage" the gasket (seating pourposes), but a MINIMUM Bolt pre-tensioning it is necessary in any case and this should not be too large in value to prevent high value of the contact pressure among the metal flange seating surfaces and the gasket conical surfaces during operation (risk of gasket damages and risk of leakage during operation).

Any suggestions to design the gasket and evaluate the minimum gasket seating are wellcome!

Thanks in advance.
