Phantom or x-ray view software ..
Phantom or x-ray view software ..
(OP)
In some trade magazines one occasionally sees a 3D object that has been cut away to view the insides.. If SW2007 can do this I have yet to find it.... But what software does?
I can imagine some very labor intensive Photo shop work but there must be an easier way.
Thanks for your time

You could create a config and cut away portions of the part/assy.
You could use the section tools in a drawing, and set the resulting view to shaded or shaded with edges.
If you have PhotoWorks, you could use masks to create a "see through" area.

I agree with CBL, I would bet the part has an extruded cut at the part level.
