Solidworks dwg converter
Solidworks dwg converter
(OP)
At my company, we are undergoing a swap from AutoCAD to 3D. Our entire library is made up of .dwgs and we still want to keep using these until the 3D library is 100% complete (which will take a few years).
Is there any programs that you can use that convert solidworks drawings into dwg's in such a way the sheet format becomes paper space and the actual drawing goes into model space.
Or as a company, are we better at looking @ using Inventor for a CAD solution? I know that there is a link between inventor and AutoCAD but I really hate using inventor from a 3d perspective (personal opinion).
What are your thoughts?

Many company's implement a plan where dwg's are converted on an as needed basis. As long as ACAD is available it will continue to be used as a crutch ... "because it's quicker/easier".
eDrawings or DWGeditor can be used to open ACAD dwg's.

Maybe Inventor is a better option for your company. The software has come a long way in the past 3 years.
