I'm looking for information comparing the various 4330-type alloys (V, V mod, V mod+Si) focusing on fatigue resistance (minimum crack propagation rate) and fracture toughness.  I've found very little information comparing the alloys.  Any help is appreciated.

JWme;
I would recommend you either attempt to locate a copy of the Aerospace Structural Metals Handbook on Ferrous alloys (FeUH) in a university library or through looking around the Internet. The thread below is where I obtained one of the excellent excerpts that dealt with 4330V and the explanation for modified 4330V.

I appreciate the guidance; I have a copy of that handbook.  I'm hoping for more quantitative data comparing the different alloys.

I think your only chance of finding that kind of data is in journal articles.
