"Error: Invalid object type" perp constraint line to plane (NX6)
"Error: Invalid object type" perp constraint line to plane (NX6)
(OP)
NX 6.0.0.24
This is a strange one:
Attempting to place a "perpendicular" constraint between a straight line and a datum plane (either a csys plane, or a regular plane) results in an error being thrown "Error: Invalid object type". This is true whether the line was drawn with or without automatic constraints. Other geometric constraints, such as "parallel" to plane, work fine.
Perpendicular constraints between 2 lines work fine. And one can even create perpendicular constraints for arcs to planes (which is new NX6 functionality I think?). The bug is only with the perpendicular constraints between lines and planes.
Anybody else seing this issue?

Could you provide a simple example which contains the various geometric elements described so that we could see exactly what you're doing?
