Step 7 forcing/modifying values

Step 7 forcing/modifying values

(OP)
I am having some trouble with Step 7. I have a program that I have written and I am trying to go through some preliminary testing.
I can't seem to force any memory values. I can force physical I/O points, but not internal memory bits. Earlier today I could but now it is not working. Can someone give me some pointers for things to look at?

RE: Step 7 forcing/modifying values

You cannot force internal memory bits with Siemens.

The program can revert it. You can force I/O through the force table.

RE: Step 7 forcing/modifying values

use the VAT table
go to the "variable Trigger" tab or icon
put your variable in the table of course
put the modified variable that you want to change
see attached screen shot
I believe you can modify any variable as long as you select
"every cycle" for both buttons
say ok to these settings
now in vat table push the modify button icon

is not the vat table wonderful? lol i am being sarcastic
