Hi,

i'd like to know

where should i install CT for REF, before (upstream) or after (downstream) 40 Ohm NGR on 150/20 kV 30 MVA Tx ?

thank you

RE: CT REF location

Do you want the NGR included in or excluded from the zone of the REF?

RE: CT REF location

If installed upstream, the CT installation may be subjected to 11,547 volts to ground in the event of a ground fault. Downstream of the resistor the voltage to ground will be zero volts.

RE: CT REF location

Hi.
Standard connection will be upstream ( before NGR) connection of CT.
Biil you are right, in case of "before" is HV type od CT, "after" is low voltage.
Regards.
Slava
