Does anyone know about the old SolidWorks Manufacturing Network--and what happened to it?  I see the new site at suppliersource.com, but am not sure if this is still associated with SolidWorks.

Anyone know what's going on there?

RE: SolidWorks Manufacturing Network

It looks like the manufacturers are still there but have been amalgamated into the new format. They are harder to find under the new sub-categories though.

cheers

Yeah, I noticed that a search for industrial design yielded some industrial design firms, but primarily machine designers.  (Odd.)  I like that we were able to upload some portfolio items that doesn't require people to visit each member's site to get an idea what they do.

RE: SolidWorks Manufacturing Network

This has been in the works for a long time.  I had a long conversation with Don Swavely at SW about it last November.  The conversation was so enlightening that I have since forgotten any of its content.  I think you got the gist if it, though.  SW has passed the Manufacturing Network off to SupplierSource.com.

RE: SolidWorks Manufacturing Network

If the Manufacturing Network had any ties at all with the state of California, its been hosed...or outsourced. lol
