Help, I can't quickpick a curve

Help, I can't quickpick a curve

Help, I can't quickpick a curve

(OP)
I'm running nx503.

I've run into several cases where I've needed to select an existing line or an existing point that was on the other side of a solid. I've done this before we loaded nx5 and no problems. I've tried resetting the options on the selection bar. When the indicator appears for the quickpick menu the curve or point is not one of the entities listed.

Right now the only work around I've found is to hide the solid so I can select the target item.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like you've got the choice for selecting objects hidden by solid turned off.  If you don't see the button on the Selection Bar, then you need to add it using the small arrow to the very far right.

Tim,
Thanks. You were right on the money as usual.

Somehow I must have overlooked the option on the selection tool bar.

ugdriver,

No problem bud...glad I could be of some help.

I'm not so sure it's shown OOB (out of the box) when you first install NX.  I think I went through more than half of the NX5 cycle before I found it.
