How to section (or cut or generate surface) solid model in patran?

(OP)
Hi,

I have complex solid model. I have modeled finite element using 10 noded tetrahedral solid element then i have run the analysis in abaqus it is running fine. Now my problem is i need to find forces and moment on perticular section of that model but now there is no surfaces otherwise i would have used abaqus keyword *SECTION PRINT for obtaining forces and moments for that section.

Is there any way to cut(or define surface) the solid part without changing solid part on that perticular section and regenerate mesh so i have element faces which can be selected for abaqus *SECTION PRINT keyword to calculate total forces and moments.

I am very thankful for any suggestion.

Thanks

Tarun
