Tips & Tricks for Positions and Assemblies

Tips & Tricks for Positions and Assemblies

Tips & Tricks for Positions and Assemblies

(OP)
I am finding positions to be very confusing. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Does anyone have tricks on making these things work right. Or does someone have tricks that could help me reduce the number of errors that I accrue in my assemblies? I am new to inventor and am getting frustrated with all these errors.

positions?
Please elaborate.
Do you mean positional representations?

Have you been to any training classes?
Even just a day of training can save weeks in trying to figure it out on your own.

positional reps are covered in the assemblies tutorials

Yes I do mean positional representations. I am having problems with their updates. They don't always update properly and I sometimes get errors. I am fairly new with this program despite learning about it in school. Is there a way to ensure that the positional representation is progressively taken in specific steps to ensure they update properly. The more linkages in a given part the more problems it seems to have.
