I HAVE MADE A LOFTED TRAY FROM 0.048" SHEET METAL.
HOW DO YOU GET A STRAIGHT PLATE DEVELOPMENT FROM IT

Please try to post your file again...there doesn't seem to be a file attached at files.engineering.com.

You'll need to insert bends if you're not going to start it as a sheet metal part.
Also, the back edge of the part is going to cause issues as it doesn't reflect the bend that you have running through the middle of the bottom. That looks to be more of a forming operation (if the back edge is modeled correctly) which, generally, can't be flattened in SolidWorks.
