I tried to use the new SW 2009 Pre Release, but it can't obtain a license for Solidworks Standard.  I have a license for Prof only, so I am wondering if that is the case.  When I open the SW 2009 SolidNetWork License Admin, It shows that I have 2 Total Licenses, and 1 Free license that is not being used.

Do I need to unistall the 2008 License Admin, and install the 2009?

RE: SW 2009 Pre Release

Your license file will need to be updated as well as updating the license admin. Your older versions of SW will still work with the new license and admin.

Just remember, anything created or saved in '09 won't open in previous versions.

Am I able to run 08 and 09 on the same computer?

RE: SW 2009 Pre Release

You can run 08 and 09 on both computers, but you have to make sure that you set up your common folders (toolbox, etc) seperately.
I'd suggest putting a SolidWorks 2009 folder on your C:\ drive and making sure the '09 install dumps everything in there.

Is anyone else having problems with the Solidworks 2009 Pre-Release SNL file?  The details on it say it is a bad file.

Any thoughts?
