drawing layer sheet specific

Are drawing layers not sheet specific?

I'm creating 3 drawing sheets 1 weld assembly and 2 lasered parts all within the same SW drawing.  Our laser software like most requires a specific laser layer and other info on another layer.

In my weld assembly sheet I dont need those layers on so I turned them off.  That turned them off on my laser drawing sheets.

Not a huge deal having 3 SW drawings but that just creates 2 more files that aren't really needed.  I suppose I could create more layers also.

Thanks

RE: drawing layer sheet specific

No, they are not sheet specific. you will need to create all of the layers needed, then assign your info individually on each sheet. A little different than ACAD.
