(OP)
hi all new here so here goes hope I am posting in the right place,

have just bought a 15 yr old jcb loading shovel with 4 ordinary manual type spool valves on it, something like this to operate the different hydraulic functions

I am wondering would it be possible to convert these into a servo assisted set-up, would make the machine much more user friendly.  I have never heard of it being done.  from looking around on the net a joystick would be easy to get but I can't seem to find what new hydraulic components I would need, would I need an extra pump ~ 100-150psi to connect the servo system to the hydraulic system.

all replies welcome

regards
