Finding new MEP work. What worked for you?

Finding new MEP work. What worked for you?

Finding new MEP work. What worked for you?

(OP)
I'm a fairly young PE, and I'm the head electrical engineer in a small MEP firm (~8 people).  To go where I want to go with my job, I want to bring more work into the company.  For those of you with experience looking for new MEP clients, what has worked for you?  Do you start with architects?  Owners?  Contractors?

I've got some ideas of my own that I'm acting on, but I want to hear what has worked for everyone else.  Thanks for any input, I really appreciate it.

Network with everyone.  Join and participate in professional and civic organizations.  Many jobs can come in because someone knows someone.
