Excel in Draft problem.

Excel in Draft problem.

Excel in Draft problem.

(OP)
i have a drawing here with a partslist that can be opened in excel. When I open the drawing there are 15 parts in the list.
I then doubleclick the list and it opens up in Excel.
When I then close Excel (without any editing) and go back to my drawing the list still has 15 parts but it now has 5 more numbers in it, 15-20.
The Excel file does have room for 20 parts, I just don't get why it updates without me doing anything.

Am I making any sense?

RE: Excel in Draft problem.

Excell or Word files in Draft do various weird & wonderful things - inconsistently.

We've had trouble with both, it was really bad with word about 2 years ago, maybe V17, but it's not so bad now.  Becuase it's inconsistent - some files do it, some don't  & behave differently on different PCs, GTAC weren't able to find the cause.

When weird things happen, just save the excel as a separate file and re-import it.

It's PITA but there you have it.

KENAT, probably the least qualified checker you'll ever meet...
