template/ sheet format question

template/ sheet format question

template/ sheet format question

(OP)
I am trying to setup a template that can be somewhat "flexible on the fly" but the inability to customize the document properties in SHEETS is preventing this from happening....here is what I mean:

I want to create a template that has a standard first page sheet, then optional 2nd, 3rd, etc sheets that I can add by using the "add sheet" function. The problem is, all of my "Document Properties" that are nicely saved in the template do not carry to the new sheet. It looks like all this info is a default setting in the sheets, and can't be changed.

Does anyone know how I can save my document properties as a default or "custom set" that can be applied quickly to new sheets?

Thanks
-Paul

RE: template/ sheet format question

Do this.

Create a drawing file and make 3, 4 pages (or however many you want)

Then add all the custom properties to that one file.

Add your t-blocks to each page.

Save and Close

Copy the file 3, 4 times and rename, then open each one and delete the pages you dont want.  Then do a save as template (drwdot) of each one and give them the names you want.

After this you should be able to insert different t-block pages and they'll all have the same custom props.  good luck.
