In SW how do you put a section view on a different sheet?

(OP)
When creating a section view, I want to put it on a different sheet than the original section view.  I can put it anywhere on the sheet that has the first view, but I cant seem to get it on to another sheet.
Advice?

Have you tried copy and paste?

yep, cut and paste it.  Ctrl+x cut & Ctrl+v paste.

It will remain linked to the original sheet.

Have you tried to move it by dragging it on the history tree to the new page?  This has always worked for me to move any view from one page to another.  If you are still having trouble, make sure you:
Right click on the section view
Select alignment
Then break alignment.

I find the surest way is to drag and drop in the Drawing View Manager. Just make sure the sheet with the section view is active, and that the view is dropped onto the new sheet name.

cheers

Thanks! Cut n paste only copied the view label, but using the history tree worked great. I don't know why I didn't think of that one.

thanks again.
