Taper Threads

Taper Threads

Taper Threads

(OP)
Ive added a hole, threaded hole and a tapered hole.

Is there anyway of adding a Taper Thread i.e. NPTs ??

TIA

Milkboy

RE: Taper Threads

The only way I have found to do this is to first create a hole using the cutout command.  Then thread the hole you just created.

As far as I know there is no way to create a tapered hole, like an NPT, using just the thread command.  If anyone has an easier way to do this please speak up.

RE: Taper Threads

In SE v9 the solution of James is OK.

In v10; there are a picture when I inserted a thread, for this is necessary activate view colors in part

RE: Taper Threads

silasSE,

I do currently run v10 and have not figured out how to do this other than the way I described.

Could you give a step by step on what you do.  I am sorry to say that I am having a hard time following your post to figure out what you are doing.

RE: Taper Threads

Hi, Milkboy

Could you show me an example of how you create threads in SE with VB?

thanks
Mlody
