Need Pressure Drop/Flow Calc Program.

Need Pressure Drop/Flow Calc Program.

Need Pressure Drop/Flow Calc Program.

(OP)
I am looking for a program that can calculate the pressure drop and flow for a piping or ventilation system.  Some of the key features I am looking for are:
1.  Database with information on components (tees, elbows, valves, etc...) that can be added to
2.  Database with common fluids
3.  P&ID appearance
4.  Export and import function from CAD software
5.  Capable of generating reports on system

Have looked at Cranes, PipeFlow, and some others.  Any suggestions?

RE: Need Pressure Drop/Flow Calc Program.

Try www.aft.com. I use their Fathom software with great success. It won't import/export with CAD, but it has the schematic interface.
For CAD import/export try WaterCad by www.haestad.com. It will do most of what Fathom does and with a CAD interface.

RE: Need Pressure Drop/Flow Calc Program.

PIPENET software from Sunrise systems has delivered good value for me; it is for both incompressible or compressible flow in pipes, ducts, etc  http://www.sunrise-sys.com/

Good luck..

RE: Need Pressure Drop/Flow Calc Program.

flowmaster is also a program to look at www.flowmaster.com

the greatest problem is apperance (when working with it and output).

Best Regards

Morten
