How about Standard Handbook for Electrical Engineers

How about Standard Handbook for Electrical Engineers

How about Standard Handbook for Electrical Engineers

(OP)
Hello everybody, I'm a recent graduate with a BSEE and I'm working on my EE engineering library. I had kept all the textbooks from my college and also purchased such books as Clarke's "Circuit Analysis of A-C Power Systems", "Electrical Transmission and Distribution Reference Book", originally by Westinghouse, and "Industrial Power System Handbook" by Donald Beeman. Now I'm thinking to get a couple editions of "Standard Handbook for Electrical Engineers". Why couple editions? Because for the 100 years history and 15 editions there are a lot in them, but some were like milestones in the field and other were, as one reviewer said on Amazon:"I had an old version and replace it with this version. Not much updating. ...was disappointed with the lack of topics from the last 20 years." So I'm looking for an edition with good stuff within it. Help! If you would, please.

RE: How about Standard Handbook for Electrical Engineers

Before the days of the internet, the Handbook was indispensable.  The older editions are good to have around for that window on yesterday for us who have to deal with equipment and technologies from varying time periods.

I'd still put one on my shelf.
