ASME Flange Calculation

ASME Flange Calculation

ASME Flange Calculation

(OP)
Hi.

I'm doing some asme calculation of flange, and since I'm pretty new in this I have some problems here. I don't know how to determine Actual Bolt Area (Ab). I have calculated Required Bolt Area (Am), and I have 20 bolts 1 1/2in diameter.

I thought that Ab should be ((1 1/2)2*Pi/4)*20, but I'm not getting good result.

Can someone help me.

Thanks
