300 Series Stainless S-N data

300 Series Stainless S-N data

(OP)
Does anyone know of a published source for S-N data for 301, 302, 303, 304, 316 or 347 Stainless Steel in the Annealed Condition?  ASM, Volume 19 does not.  Does anyone know if a set of curves exist in the "Atlas of Fatigue Curves"?  Thanks.

RE: 300 Series Stainless S-N data

I assume you refer to sheet and strip and not bars?

Actually the part is machined from 1 1/4" round.

RE: 300 Series Stainless S-N data

There is some data in ASM's Atlas of Fatigue curves, but I am not sure it has all of these alloys (don't have it in front of me right now).  Do you need the entire curve, or is it sufficient to know the runout area at > 106 cycles?  ASM HANDBOOK Volume 19 does have info on the latter in Table 2 for rotating bending.

The following document is the best source of fatigue data that I have found freely available on the internet:

Contact AK Steel for the most comprehensive info on these alloys.

I have no knowledge of 301 in bar shapes

I would appreciate you checking the "Atlas of Fatigue Curves".  I am willing to buy the book if the curves are in there.
