explode view labelling

poeple ....NX4.4.0.4.2 MP6

I have an explode view (obviously of an assembly) in a specification and would like to add the label annotation to each individual part ...
?- is it possible to pick an attributes that once I place the label the part I pick for arrow head, its attribute is captured for the annotation.
basically I am trying to get NX to lift the name of the part from the database and save me typing it in ....

I get all the part attributes I ever wanted for the top level assembly but not the individual parts

what do you think .....

regards ... gary

RE: explode view labelling

Try linking your notes to the OBJECT attributes of the Components.  You may need to link a part name to the original PART attributes of the Master Part, which get converted to OBJECT attributes assigned to the Components.

to be honest John that sounds more hassle than just typing the part number / description in the annotation editor in my spec... the information I want is already an attribute of the component part I just need to get at it from my assembly specification

RE: explode view labelling

OK then if the data is "already an attribute of the component part", while in the assembly, create your note using the full Annotation Editor and select the tab at the bottom of the editor labeled 'Relationships' and select the 'Object Attributes' option and then select the 'component of interest' and select the desired Attribute from the list provided.
