I have a customer that is insisting on building a product out of sheet produced to the SAE 30304 specification, which is sheet I can not find.   The specification common to our operation is ASTM A240 Type 304.   My question is: does ASTM A240 Type 304 meet the requirements of SAE 30304?

SAE 30304 sheet is specified in a series of standards, such as AMS5910 Steel, Corrosion-Resistant, Sheet, Strip, and Plate, 19Cr - 9.2Ni (SAE 30304) Cold Rolled, 125 ksi (862 MPa) Tensile Strength.  You can learn more here:
