Redefine a relative to view

Redefine a relative to view

Redefine a relative to view

(OP)
Dear Folks;

I work with 2008 SP4.0 and make a lot of weldments using insert view relative to model to make the details of the individual components.

The relative to model view allows you to pick the individual solid body initially when you first create the view. But if you make changes to the model, the relative view often loses its single body selection and instead the view displays the entire weldment.

Is there a way to edit the relative view in the drawing to reselect the solid body after editing ?

Right now I end up having to recreate many of the relative views over again after changing the length of a component or adding a hole or two.

Best Regards

RE: Redefine a relative to view

Have you tried using the Save Bodies function to create individual (but associated) parts?

cheers
