A vs SA for boiler tube

A vs SA for boiler tube

A vs SA for boiler tube

(OP)
Are the SA and A grades for boiler tube interchangeable? In particular, was looking at A/SA-213 and 209.

thread292-209678: SA vs A for pressure vessel construction seems to suggest for pressure vessels, there is information in ASME II A which details equivalent SA/A grades. Does this apply to boiler tube as well?

Thanks

RE: A vs SA for boiler tube

kclim;
You need to review ASME B&PV Code, Section II, Introduction. Toward the end of this section is titled Acceptable ASTM Editions. Review this, and discuss with your AI.
