Is there a way to show more information of a part and it's configurations when hovering on a part in a drawing? It would really nice to show the configurations details.

See attached.

Thanks,

RE: Drawing-Hovering Parts-Part Number Display

Sounds like an enhancement request.  Better be sure that we can turn it off though, sometimes the PC has it's work cutout dealing with these hover requests, and everything gets pretty jerky.  I seem to recall some very rough navigation in older versions of SW due to automatic selection of text & etc.

RE: Drawing-Hovering Parts-Part Number Display

I think you'd be hard pressed to get that one through. All the pop-up is really showing is the feature information, not the part info.
Out of curiosity, how would this be beneficial for you?

It helps when to know the exact part you're dealing with when detailing out a view. If SW expanded the assembly tree in the command manager, and highlighted the part when selecting the part, that would work too. But it doesn't.

Have you looked at Tools->Options->Display/Selection->Dynamic Highlight from Graphics View?

Jeff, I can't select it. It's greyed out.

Do you have OpenGL turned on? Are you using an approved graphics card and driver? Do I sound like the AE I used to be? What makes an ocean wave wave?
