NX6, NX7 and GRIP

I heard from one my IT guys that GRIP may stop being available in NX6 or NX7. Does anyone know if this is true?

I know it isnt supported for new functionality, but this is the first I had heard of possible elimination. Does anyone know if this is just a rumor???

Thanks all!

RE: NX6, NX7 and GRIP

From where I sit (as a direct report to the VP of NX Development) I'm NOT aware of ANY PLANS to reduce our current level of support for GRIP.  Granted, this generally only amounts to fixing bugs, and not entertaining any enhancements (which we've not done any for at least 6 or 7 years), but everything is still working like it always has.

Thanks John...I am very glad to hear that. I hear this from time to time and usually disregard it as a rehash of an old rumor.

As always thank you sir!!!

RE: NX6, NX7 and GRIP

You know how it is, when someone repeats information, it is seldom as it was originally.  This probably started with a true statement that GRIP was not to be enhanced in the future and morphed into GRIP is dead and will not be available.
