Shadow feature in Pro/Mold

Shadow feature in Pro/Mold

(OP)
Friends,
I have an iges file of a Reverse Engineered component which has a surface which is tangent continuous and made in patches as most reverse engineering softwares give as output. Now I have to develop a mold of that component. When I go for creating the Parting Surface using the Shadow Functionality, it does not create the surface.
The problem I feel is due to the bad surface quality, but this is the kind of surface we usually get for a reverse engineered component. Due to the complexity of the surface , I am forced to use only the shadow functionality.

Has anyone faced a similar problem
Amish

RE: Shadow feature in Pro/Mold

HI
You may try to use silhouette curve, you may have to sketch some of the curve if it has gabs or overlaps. Then you use the curve for a sweep surface.
