Location of Knockout drum for vent system

Location of Knockout drum for vent system

(OP)
Hello!

I'm working on the revamping of an existing gas vent system. It is part of a production cluster that collects gas from different gas wells. The cluster has a vent system that consists of a piping collector, a knockout drum and a vent stack.
We found out that the existing knockout drum is located within the battery limits, close to a test separator.
Considering that:

* API 521 establishes that any located vessel within the impact area mentioned in 7.1.2 shall be considered affected by the radiation
* The k.o drum is located within this area.
* Thus the k.o drum will be affected by the radiation.

I would like to know if there is any standard, recommended practice o whatever that advises that the k.o.drum should be installed in an isolated or distant place, away from fire from other equipment.

Thanks a lot in advance!!

Regards
