Broken View Creation in NX4

Broken View Creation in NX4

Broken View Creation in NX4

(OP)
I've only been using NX4 the last three weeks and I cannot figure out how to make this view in a drawing. It's pretty easy in Catia but I'm missing something.

Thanks!

RE: Broken View Creation in NX4

The user documentation for creating a Broken View is quite extensive and detailed.

Ok, that sounds like a good place to start. I've already gone through the CAST online training but where or how can I access this user documentation? In Catia, I could hit the F1 key mid command to get detailed info on how to properly perform that feature. When I hit F1 in UG, I get nothing. Is my station not configured correctly?

I need to clarify one point. Using UG terminology, I'm not looking to do a broken view, rather a break-out section view. Sorry for the confusion.

I found the help docs and created a break-out view. Thanks for the assist!

RE: Broken View Creation in NX4

If the help files are installed on your machine, F1 should work. Where I work, the help files are installed on a server so F1 only brings up a "Help Error". Your machine may be set up correctly to the company standard and F1 not work.

RE: Broken View Creation in NX4

There are functions for break out sections, rather than looking too specifically thjough I suspect that if you try any section and then hit F1 then looking through the supplied documentation you will find that it takes you to a part of the manual where the information is nearby in the next pages.

Best regards,

Hudson
