Does anyone have a copy of the CECPI (breakdown) from 1990. Going back a while I know!

I'm especially in need of the engineering & supervision index.

Cheers.

RE: CECPI from 1990 - Engineering & Supervision

The 1990 engineering and supervision index was 355.9 as reported in a Jan 2002 article "Updating the CE Plant Cost Index". The e&s index seems to have peaked that year and the same table shows it down to 340.6 by 2000. Dec 2007 prelim for the e&s is 356.2.

Much thanks! Interesting reading, though. Anyone know why this index isn't commensurate with other indices (ie. process equipment) some of which have blown out by factors of 1.5 to 2.0? I guess it's based on the U.S. professional labour market. Here in Australia, if we base an index on figures obtained from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, we get a much greater disparity between 1990 and 2008.

You could try contacting W.M. Vatavuk. He wrote the Jan 2002 article in Chem Eng Mag "Updating the CE Plant Cost Index".
