Chilled water pipe thermal break for stand

Chilled water pipe thermal break for stand

Chilled water pipe thermal break for stand

(OP)
Ive been tasked to find some sort of commercial prebuilt support/stand system for chilled water pipe that has some sort of thermal break. Any one have any suggestions.

If nothing like that is out there what ideas do you have or do you use.

Right now alot of are stands have been welded to the pipe then some insulation run down the stand 20-26 inches. My boss wants something better to isolate the stand from the pipe.

Thanks in advanced.

Are you talking about pipe shoes?
If so go see Rilco

For Anchor support on chilled water system.
Earlier we used a High grade Hard wood Timber to isolate and provide a thermal break for heat transfer.

It was a sort of Square flange.

But if the secondary support is by using threaded rods than it is difficult isolate it...

Just use an insulated clamp with shoe that is welded to the top of the stanchion.  Won't work on the elbows, but adjacent to them.
