Need to know what this is called. A customer gave the dimensions and the CAD but has left town and I can't find one to determine the load bearing cap. He said it was in McMaster but still can't find.
In case my pic doesn't post it is a roller 2" od X 2.5 in long on a shaft with holes to mount horz. on 4" bolt centers
Thx
Mark

Yes I agree, but have yet to find a source for that one.   Oh well I'll look again. Thx

RE: Name and / or source

He needs to tell you more about it.  I could be anything.  Is it made of steel?  Rubber?  Papier mâché?

It could be a yoke-type cam follower with a custom-machined axle inserted in it.

A studless cam follower or a yoke roller, though I've never seen one with that type of L/D before, ot that type of stud/axle.  You could try McGill, Emerson Power Transmission or even McMaster-Carr.  Was is a commercially available item or a custom item?

RE: Name and / or source

We had some heavy duty conveyor rollers of a very similar construction. The rolls were about 6" long with a 2" stub shaft that was drilled for mounting.

I scanned my literature and don't see a reference. I'll do a little more looking.

Is there any number on your part?

RE: Name and / or source

Looks like some type of drive roller, perhaps using a custom shaft ? Perhaps the shaft and roller are purchased separately ?

I can't believe they went through the trouble of making a CAD file of a stock Mcmaster part and then did not even include a part number or a name of the part(s), then to top it off they go on vacation and leave you with no details ponder

RE: Name and / or source

It looks to me like a rubber-bonded bushing of some sort, not a roller at all.

Steel sleeve on the outside intended to be pressed into something, rubber middle, and a "dog bone" in the middle to be bolted.

Commonly used in traction rods and heavy linkages.

Also try Lord, Tokai Rubber, Sumitomo, Sachs,

The OP said it was a roller.
