how to link dimension

Hello,

I want to model a part and link dimension, so by changing any dimensions all the others will change as well.

Can you help me please ?

Thanks

RE: how to link dimension

Right-click the dimension, select "Link".

RE: how to link dimension

Linked dimensions are for dimensions of the same value.
Equations are used to create dependencies of dimension values based on other dimension values.

If you are running SW08, both functions can be accessed by double clicking the dimension and clicking the drop-down chevron.

cheers

Actually, that functionality has been around for a few releases...

Well I only found out about it the other day! blush ... as you learned in thread559-221821: equation for extrusion depth? ... either that or I just completely forgot about it.

I don't know which is worse though. Not knowing about it after multiple releases ... or forgetting it was there.
A choice between ignorance or senility!!! [sigh]

cheers
