does SWX interpolate in multi angle bend tables?

does SWX interpolate in multi angle bend tables?

does SWX interpolate in multi angle bend tables?

(OP)
Hello all,

Imagine you have a bend table with multiple angles. And let's say you had the angles 88 degrees and 90 degrees in your table. But you created a bend that was 89 degrees in your model. Note that the table does not have information for 89 degrees. Does SolidWorks interpolate (between the 88 degree and 90 degree data) to calculate the bend allowance?

Thanks in advance,

Joseph

RE: does SWX interpolate in multi angle bend tables?

From the Help Index, bends, text file > Bend Table - Text File >

Quote:

If the thickness of the part or bend angle falls between values in the table, the software interpolates the values to calculate the bend allowance.

cheers

Thanks, CBL!

Sorry for the late reply. It took some time to test this, but you are right. SWX interpolates in all Bend Tables (Excel and TXT). It works great and it can interpolate between bend radii, angles, and thickness. Very impressive.

Cheers,

Joseph
