Problem with detailed view

Problem with detailed view

Problem with detailed view

(OP)
Hi,

When i try to insert a detail view within a detail view, the view does not show the contents within the circle (see detail view B in attached figure). It seems that the view is skewed and does not show all the edges that lie inside the circle. Has anyone ever had this problem? Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks,
Mike

RE: Problem with detailed view

Can you post the file?  I can't recreate your issue.  I just created a detail of a detail of a detail of a detail and all views show the proper geometry.

RE: Problem with detailed view

Edit the Detail sketch. It looks like you may have moved the detail circle, but it didn't update graphically.

RE: Problem with detailed view

That is very strange. It's almost like the second detail view is looking at an angle to the first detail view.

RE: Problem with detailed view

Your problem is coming from the break in the main view.  SW has never handled dimensions etc. in broken views very well.  If you delete the break (not un-break, but delete the break lines) from the main view, you will see your detail circles move to the position corresponding to what is shown in the detail views.
