why?

why?

(OP)
I made a mistake with my last post. It was a 371 Detroit diesel not a Cummins. I put 200 ohms of resistance on one of the field leads and that gets me down to a manageable voltage but it still doesnt tell me why I had the problem in the first place. Anyone with helpful hints please respond.

RE: why?

dear woody,

rotor batary supply can burn if there are short cut or lose connection. the contact point at the board timely has lose connection and this cause hot and cable can burn.

bye
