dgn file to dwg file (Microstation to AutoCAD)

Help!  I run AutoCAD 2007, and a client of mine is sending me .dgn files because he runs Microstation.  I was told that AutoCAD 2009 can now open .dgn files, but that doesn't help me because I just bought 2007 last year.  Does anyone know how I can convert a .dgn file to a .dwg file?  (I also believe Microstation V8 can save the file as a .dwg file, but that doesn't help me either.)  Sincerely, Brian

Did you try searching in AutoCAD "Help"?
Look for "DGNIMPORT".

Trueview on Autodesk's website is pretty amazing and can convert new to older version of CAD.  It may do Microstation as well.

thanks ctopher, but that command only works on 2008 or greater.  ...thanks also Don, i'll give Trueview a look.

RE: dgn file to dwg file (Microstation to AutoCAD)

You will probaby need autocad MAP to import the dgn file.  Send it to me and I can import it for you.

You may also want to check and see if your client can save the file as a dwg or dxf file.
