Flow response in pipe

Flow response in pipe

(OP)
Hi,

I'm developing a model for fluid flow in pipes and hoses.  Can anyone point me in the direction of a good piece of literature or even better a site that contains a good excel model.  In particular i require the maths to describe the response time for a wave to travel through the pipe/hose (>5km).

Thanks in advance.

RE: Flow response in pipe

Hi Dopa,

I'm not quite sure if this might help, but here it goes. You can review the book, Analysis of water surge by John Pickford, it has a quite nice and easier way to explain this phenomena (easier than Streeter, at least for me). Hope this will help
