SE v20 cam assembly

SE v20 cam assembly

(OP)
Hey guys I'm new to Eng-tips.
Joined to try and find a solution to my problem with solid edge.
I have an assembly involving a double lobed cam that a simple lever is supposed to run on with a wheel and bearing.
When i try and assemble the pair as a cam assembly it keeps coming up with a error saying something about if i'm defining the cam i need to choose a full series of tangentally continuous faces, and if im choosing the follower i need to pick just one face that will run on the cam.
I'm no computer genius and i can't figure out why it won't mate the lever to the cam.

Anyone offer any help???

RE: SE v20 cam assembly

Welcome to the Forum BigBlock,
The cam shape has to have all edges tangential to the adjacent edges, ie no sharp corners.
If you have a sharp corner you will need to add a round.
I think it is also telling you that it doesn't matter which face you pick first - cam or follower.
