(OP)
Does anyone know a method of providing calculations for an Oil Water Seperator for a Truck Dock?

We have a trench drain which collects to a common point and then will travel through the Oil Water Seperator before it hits the outlet.

Thank you for your help!

RE: Oil Water Seperator Calculcations

The plumbing codes often have sizing requirements for these.

The IPC states the oil separator have a minimum capacity of 6 cu ft for the first 100 sq feet of area, plus one cu ft for each additional 100 sq ft.

This requirement is for areas where vehicles are serviced, greased, reapaired, or washed, or where gasoline is dispensed.  But it could be used for other areas as well.

What are you trying to calculate? Rainfall? Capacity of the O/W device? Please add some more information.

Check American Petroleum Institute's Publication 421 "Management of Water Discharges: Design and Operation of Oil-Water Separation, 1st Ed (1990). See www.api.org.

Contech will give you software for free, but then they want you to buy their product.
